may 2001:   After living in Singapore for 3 1/2 years, and working in establishments like Father Flanagan's, internationally seasoned publican, Pat Grennan, ventured out on his own to build Singapore's first and ONLY authentic Irish pub. Shamus O'Donnell's aka SODs

An exhaustive search led Pat to Tras Street; an historic area lined with 'conservation' shop houses and ripe with the spirit of the Singapore of the 1900's

The name 'Tras Street' dates from an 1898 municipal resolution to "use names of rivers and districts in the Malay Peninsula" to name roads.

Pat personally oversaw every step of the renovations to ensure that his pub was truly representative of a real Irish Pub.

Pat's eclectic and volcanic style coupled with a unique vibrant atmosphere, quickly led to a loyal band of colorful SOD's regulars.

sep 2002:  SODs sends two men's teams and a ladies team to the 7th Anual Asian Gaelic Games in Phuket Thailand

sep 2003:  SODs sends a men's teams and a ladies team to the 8th Anual Asian Gaelic Games in Hong Kong.

mar 2008:  Rosemary Lim publishes "An Irish Tour of Singapore." Within the book are numerous accolades and references to Singapore's ONLY authentic Irish Pub -- SODs.

Apr 2009:  New owners buy SODs from Pat Grennan. We aim to maintain the history and culture that Pat nurtured over the years. At the same time we wish to inject some new ideas into the pub to make it the 'funnest' Irish Pub in town... "Change you can Drink To!" --- we like to call it.
