in O'Bama's soonPlaying a mix of vintage 60's and 70's tracks as well as contemporary
artists, these guys play a subtle blend of folk, rock and traditional
tunes, by the likes of Dylan, Neil Young, and CCR.
Join us then for an evening of soul-wrenching vocals and harmonica by Alex,
interspersed with ‘Clapton-esque’ licks from Young Edmund, and a couple of
other geezers on the bass and drums.
A feel-good band in hard times - be prepared to smile and tap your feet!
Alex Meaney (acoustic guitar, vocals, harmonica), 33yo, is an ex-Londoner with Scottish & Irish parentage.When not playing in the band, Alex enjoys a regular tipple and works in the booze trade, as a Wine Consultant & Educator.
Edmund Koh (electric rhythm/lead guitar) is a Singaporean who grew up with songs by the Shadows and the Beatles. He was a bank manager prior to 1995 when he started his antique/art shop which he still runs seven days a week.
Julian O'Connell (5 String Electric Bass Guitar) was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland during the Summer of Love. It was a short summer that year, followed by 30 years of political strife and sectarian violence.
Matthew Roberts (Drums and percussion) has been playing since he was a 12 year old. He is now teaching the brutes as a secondary specialist, at one of the many international schools in Singapore.
